Communication/Social Media: To communicate union messaging clearly, accurately, and strategically through emails and outlets such as Instagram, Facebook, Youtube and union website (www.wearepea.org)
Community Schools: Community Schools bring together students, families, educators, and community partners to support the whole child, and PUSD received one of California’s largest Community Schools grants—more than $26 million—to expand these services and opportunities across our schools.
Financial Literacy: To educate members on compensation, retirement, and long-term financial planning.
Health Benefits: To support members in understanding and navigating health benefits.
Grievance Support: To support members in understanding their contractual rights and grievance processes.
Negotiation Team: Representing PEA during negotiations with the district.
School Board & District Accountability: Attending school board meetings, analyze LCFF, monitoring grants, meeting with school board members and superintendent.
Site Rep: Attend monthly meetings at the PEA office and provide union support at your school site.
Social/Community Outreach: To strengthen relationships between educators, families, and the broader community.
