The Porterville Educators Association (PEA) is the collective voice of the educators of Porterville Unified School District. We are organized, dedicated professionals committed to fostering student success and strengthening the essential relationship between students and their educators.
As a union of professional educators, PEA recognizes its responsibility to continuously advance the quality of public education, support effective instructional practices, and advocate for meaningful solutions when educational systems fall short. We hold this responsibility not only to our members, but also to our students, families, and the broader Porterville community. At the core of this work is a steadfast commitment to maximizing student learning and well-being.
PEA acknowledges the importance of collaboration with all stakeholders in public education and commits to working with integrity, purpose, and persistence to:
Promote consistently high levels of student achievement for all learners;
Advocate for equitable access to resources, including smaller class sizes, increased support for Special Education and English Learners, and expanded student services;
Uphold fairness, transparency, and due process within both the educational system and union practices;
Strengthen and support the professional growth and sustainability of the educator workforce; and
Improve the teaching and learning conditions in our schools so that both students and educators can thrive.
Through unity, advocacy, and a shared vision, PEA remains committed to ensuring that every student in Porterville Unified School District receives the support, opportunities, and high-quality education they deserve.
